home furnishing industry

The other day on my way to home, I was confronted with a huge billboard, boasting of the first ever 50% sale, from one of the major players in the home furnishing industry in India. Though I had no plan to buy anything, still the curiosity bug got better of me and I decided to check in, to see what was there on the offer.

The rugs, curtains, towels, cushion covers, bed items, duvat covers, shams, quilts, coverlets, euro shams, pillow, bed skirts, bolsters, neck rests etc. was all made to look very attractive, in an effort to woo a buyer's impulse purchase vein. However, even after the the so called sale, it was still, steeply priced, which wasn't surprising;-)

One interesting trend which I observed, was the invasion of technology and innovation in the home furnishing industry. The products on display were more durable, more stylish, more appealing by blending the latest technology features along with the comfort requirement. Another trend which caught my imagination was the extensive use of Natural fibres which could be because of the renewed interest in eco-friendliness and sustainability.

The Home Furnishings Industry in India offers a range of highly sought after products like bedspreads, furnishing fabrics, curtains, rugs, durries, carpets, placemats, cushion covers, table covers, linen, kitchen accessories, made-ups, bed spreads, bath linen etc. Suppliers and Manufacturers in India are creating their own niche and don't shy away from testing the foreign waters for their business expansion needs.

Indian home furnishings industry is also influenced by traditional motifs and design, though they keep experimenting with western elements like the use of lace, minimalism etc. Such designs are of great interest to the new age customers resulting in higher sales to the end supplier.

Home furnishing exporters are well aware of the fact that the Indian products are a big rage all over the world and they are not leaving any stone unturned to cash on this opportunity. The industry analysts, as expected, are quite gung-ho about the home furnishing exporters, next quarter's profit statement.

Dream Homes in your hand

THE HOME INSPECTION There are three groups of people impacted by home inspection reports. They are the buyers, the sellers and each of their associated realtors. After the inspection reports come in the buyers and their realtors become well-informed folks who often end up knowing more about the homes they are considering for purchase than the people who actually live in them. The sellers and their realtors are the people who usually end up paying for most of the repairs noted in the reports. The sad thing is those owners actually had the greatest potential for changing the outcome of the sale. With a bit of knowledge and a few minutes, the homeowners, the realtors and even the brokers could have gotten bigger checks at the close of escrow. Instead, they paid for hundreds or even thousands of dollars in repairs that could have easily been completed at a fraction of the cost, or even eliminated for free. Accurate and concise reports from inspectors mean thousands of home sellers ...

teleworking at home

Working at home, from home, in your pajamas, in the nude, at the beach, working from bed or the easy chair - these are all the images and joys of home working that Kate and I enjoy and many others too. Kate and I sell Real Estate; that is perhaps the most popular telecommuting, work at home; pick your own hours job, in the country. There are some difficulties that go with working at home. Perhaps half of the people who start working from home don't succeed, mostly due to lack of personal discipline or family discipline. There are freedoms of working from home and along with freedoms go responsibilities. Those freedoms of working at home can also be challenges to responsibility which will lower your production and moral as you fail to meet deadlines and quotas.I have been telecommuting or teleworking; since we imported the term teleworking from the Brits and it's now used by our Federal Government; and believe me I would rather work from home and my car than from a cubical. Sin...

Buying New Versus Resale In today's highly competitive market there is a vast array of choices to be made when deciding on the type of dwelling you wish to reside in. Below is a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of buying a new home versus a resale home. Advantages of a New Home One of the primary advantages of buying a new home is the ability to decorate your home from the beginning exactly the way you want. You can pick all the colors, which range from paint to carpet. You can also make the tile and cabinetry selection for the kitchen and bathrooms.Often, new homes will have more modern conveniences, better insulation and can be more energy efficient. Disadvantages of a New Home Unfortunately, with a new home purchase you should be prepared for the on-going construction you will find around you. Chances are that your grass and lawn will not be in, your driveway will be gravel and your street will turn into a sea of mud whenever it rains or snows. If things ...
